Colson Kelly (aka Machine Gun Kelly) is a rap musician with a distinct style. Baker was originally born in Houston, TX U.S. on April 22nd 1990, to parents of English Scottish German descent. When he was a kid, he spent a great deal of time traveling with his parents who were missionaries. The father James Colson Baker struggled with depression and unemployed and his mom Sonia Alane left them when he was nine. Baker along with his father moved to Denver and lived in the home of his dad's aunt. Others in the community had a tendency to bully Baker for being poor. His first exposure to Rap was in the sixth the sixth grade. Colson Kelly was born Machine Gun Kelly on April 22, 1989, in Texas. He has a reputation for blending hip-hop that is contemporary and alternative with rock in his music compositions. Baker, who signed with Bad Boy Records in 2010 and released four mixtapes between 2007 and 2010. The Cleveland rapper who penned lyrics at the pace that of a fast bullet saw an explosion of popularity when in 2011, he switched from self-released mixes to reputable labels. His career increased exponentially as every albums charted within the top 10 charts.
